Manara - Pumped Storage Hydro Power Station

Pumped Storage Power Station – Advanced Engineering in Action
As part of the design process for an innovative Pumped Storage Power Station, we successfully integrated classical structural engineering with cutting-edge computational tools to address the unique challenges of hydro-infrastructure development.
Finite Element Analysis with SOFiSTiK
Comprehensive static and dynamic analysis was performed using SOFiSTiK, with full consideration of complex load scenarios, structural deformation, and soil-structure interaction (TALPA). The analysis adhered to Eurocode standards and was tailored for large-scale hydro-technical design.
Parametric Design with Rhino & Grasshopper
A custom parametric model was built using Rhino + Grasshopper, enabling real-time control over geometry and topology. This workflow facilitated rapid design iterations, optimized form-finding, and seamless integration with analytical models.
BIM Integration with Revit
The complete structural and architectural model was developed in Revit, serving as the central coordination hub. This model was then used for documentation structural drawings, quantity, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
By combining parametric design, advanced analysis, and BIM-based coordination, we significantly improved design efficiency, reduced errors, and ensured full integration across platforms.
