A new underground station is to be built in Bat-Yam and one of the entrances is crossing the operating green line. The challenge is to construct the entrance with minimum interference to the operating green line.
Checking the feasibility of a shallow tunnelling underneath the GL, the tunnels are approximately 4.8 meters below ground level.
ground conditions are challenging, excavating through cohesionless dry sand.
