Route 41

Parametric Bridge Design on Route 41 – Powered by Grasshopper, Rhino, Sofistik & Revit
We’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at one of our latest infrastructure projects: two parallel bridges on Route 41, a major transportation artery in southern Israel.
This project is a showcase of how parametric design and BIM workflows drive smarter, faster, and more coordinated infrastructure development.

Project Summary
• Two parallel bridges, precast balanced cantilever:
• BR01 – 430 meters
• BR02 – 447 meters
• Each deck is 12.5 meters wide and main span of 58m.
• Construction method: Precast balanced cantilever – chosen for its efficiency and minimal disruption to existing traffic and terrain

To support this complex design, we leveraged an integrated digital workflow:
• Rhino – for precise and flexible geometric modelling
• Grasshopper – to enable parametric control and rapid iteration
• Sofistik – for structural analysis tightly linked to geometry
• Revit – for full 3D BIM modelling, documentation, and coordination.
This approach enabled:
• Rapid exploration of design alternatives and modifications
• Seamless synchronization between analysis and modelling

Execution Status
Construction is well underway! Most precast segments for both bridges are already on-site. The substructure is almost done.
This project is a testament to how parametric tools, BIM, and international collaboration are shaping the future of infrastructure design and delivery.
